From across the street
I see you coming closer
In the split second you pass my
Senses go wild

For a split second
I see your loving smile
And beautiful lips

For a split second
I see the bright sparkle
In your caring eyes

For a split second
I brush against you
And feel your warmth
Your gentle touch

For a split second
I smell your sweet
Wonderful smell
Drawing me closer to you

But that split second
Has passed

Your shadow is all I see
As you disappear into the darkness
Of a moving crowd
