A biopsy on the moments of our days (written with John Sweet)

by Gary Jurechka   Oct 2, 2005

Martyrs of existentialism
seeking our own lost causes

sensing the presence of a
misplaced childhood
in peripheral shadows

toys broken
behind every door
a mother missing a father
vanished

we will grow up to be the
monsters beneath our
tiny beds

or worse
the realization
that we have
grown up to be
nothing at all

-gary jurechka and john sweet

circa 1998/1999
