My Soul-mate

by Eyes_Of_Rain   Oct 2, 2005

We have a love that was born of chance,
Two hearts that collided due to circumstance.
I was not looking for love when I found you,
I had said never again, but what could I do?

Your loving eyes and caring smile,
Told me you would go the extra mile.
Now, again I am risking it all for love,
The outcome known only by God up above.

I was cautious at first, not quite giving you all,
You were patient and loving, never letting me fall.
Everyday you took another piece of my heart,
Sometimes I'm not sure where I end and you start.

A more true, or complete love would be hard to find,
So now I give you all, my body, my soul, and my mind.
God sent you to me, and I now know my fate,
A life of happiness and love with you, my soul-mate.

You are a diamond Adel. I just assumed that a lot of people must not like love and romance and beauty in poetry anymore, and that thats why none of them commented, but all that matters is quality, not quantity, therefore since you commented I have a quality comment, and thats better than 100 of poor quality and false praise.

    Always,
