PIANISSIMO DAWN

by Gary Jurechka   Oct 2, 2005

A dew droplet
rolls down a leaf as
a flower unfolds its petals
to catch the early morning sun,
a light that clears away
the last remnants of night shadows,
like a cleansing stroke that
leaves behind a newborn day,
a day of wistful dreams,
a day of melancholy miracles,
a day of fresh possibilities,
a chance to throw off
all that weighs heavy,
to forget everything else,
if only for a moment

and if you listen hard enough,
behind your breathing
you can hear the
sound of the clouds
moving across the blue sky

An inspiring message to uplift especially for the hopeless people who think miracles dont happen anymore. In fact, everyday there's a miracle...we just take it for granted...that everyday we still breathe. Good use of metaphors here Gary, nice write as usual...Excellent rate, for the nth time. Ur poems do inspire, u have the power to wake up the sleeping souls for a nice brighter morning...a brighter view, a life of contentment than complaints. Thanks for sharing....cynthia

Oh that is such beautiful, stirring writing. You are obviously very gifted at conveying emotional feelings about nature. I love short poems that say so much.

I love the ending! Don't get me wrong, the entire piece is delightful, but the last stanza is breathtaking~Holly
