Can New life start here

by skyfox   Oct 2, 2005

Tall gallant gum trees skyward bound
Thin tawny grasses scattered around
Brave red, yellow and blue flowers peeking through
Clear crystal waters trickle there too

Cool breeze up the valley comes noisily past
Bush birds calling echoes through the scrub land so vast
Stark contrast the trees that are dead and bare
Not moving or swaying just hanging in there.

Peaceful and calming the atmosphere sublime
Easy to think now that all life will be fine
Away from the hustle and bustle of life
No thoughts of troubles of woe and of strife

Not far are my thoughts of loved ones at home
Not far is the hurt that now leaves me alone
Its beauty and life no match for my sorrow
Please how can I make it feel better tomorrow?

While attempting to get my head together I was taken to the most beautiful campsite in the bush. But the majesty and beauty could not erase my feeling of loss

Wow, this is a lovely poem, i especially loved how it ended... it's very descriptive, kind of hopeful in a way. whilst still expressing your grief and hurt... i don't know, this is just the way i saw it, i suck at comments... your poems are amazing x
