Love of Quality Time

It is not the amount of time
and it isn't the quantity,
it is the quality that matters.
When you are with me;
I can feel it and it matters.
It matters to me
even if we don't talk.
It is just knowing
that you are there.
It is knowing
that even if we don't get to share today,
that a tomorrow we can be together.
It doesn't matter where you are
or whatever frame of mind.
It doesn't matter what mood
or how we both feel.
Sometimes it is just a flower
or a heartfelt note.
Sometimes it is just a memory
of times shared together.
Sometimes it being there for me
when I have trouble being there for me.
It says I am here
and you are there
but there is still a connection
because we shared
a time together.
