Moment's of Tranquility

by HOLLY ARMER   Oct 2, 2005

Wood beneath me
strong, rough, and worn
Feet dangling below
jeans tattered and torn

Breeze playing gently
refreshing and sweet
Swinging my legs
to an imaginary beat

Surrounded by branches
and leaves of all shades
Watching as the sun
dips down and fades

Out of the darkness
shines the silvery moon
Accompanied by crickets
composing their tune

Firefly's appear with
a flicker of light
Dancing around
illuminating the night

Caught in these moments
of tranquility
As nature unfolds
just for me
