No Title

Have you ever really seen me?
Do you know that i exist?
Do you believe that you're the reason,
That my heart lies on my wrist?

Have you ever stopped to think of,
All the things you've left behind?
All the memories I've longed for,
Do they even cross your mind?

Was i ever meant to live this life?
Was i wanted? Was i planned?
Is there a reason to even be here?
Please tell me someone understands.

They would always leave me,
To spend time with a dad who was actually there.
But i never had one like they did..
Is it because he didn't care?

Was it to protect me?
Or to rip me open wide?
Was it supposed to hurt this bad?
To make me keep it all inside?

And they wonder why I'm bottled up,
My emotions unexplained.
I've been abandoned from the start,
And i fear they're all the same.

Every since i was a child,
From the very day of my birth.
I've been hoping for a reason,
To leave this hell-hole they call earth.

The fear just lingers quietly,
In the space that's never been filled.
I've found nothing here for me in life,
Other than the pain that can't be killed.

    Aww...Jess, I never would have guessed that you had such emotions bottled up inside of you. I'm so, so, so sorry that you never got to know you're dad, but I just wanted you to know that you've become a beautiful person even without him. I hope that made sense. Great poem but I wish that you would have made it a little longer with a little more elaboration. Awesome work! 5/5

    Although i haven't experienced what you've experienced i can say that it really is an excellent piece. but setting aside the experience aspect, the poem did not touch my heart that deeply. i wish you had elaborated more of what you really feel... 5/5
