Black

by Lady0soReal   Oct 2, 2005

As blacks we've been through the cotton fields and tar slums. We've been held down by the white mans hands shackled by chains and bars. Barred from fountains and eateries.Went with Martin Luther King to the mountain. Seen killings filled with hate. Never been served with Gods golden plate. Last Class but first for a crime. Beating and killed because the skin we live in. Reminded every day of who we are but somehow we forgotten where we've been!
