A Snuff Dipper

by david kessel   Nov 30, 2003

I used to smoke but then a dipper I became,
Although, they say, it's harmful all the same.
I pack some Scoal or Cope behind my lip-
I used to smoke but now I like to dip.

I spit inside an empty Cola can.
"No Smoking" signs don't bother me again.
I get my nicotine and that's enough.
No cigarettes for me, I like my snuff.

"Another nasty habit", say my friends-
"A dipper's life through mouth cancer ends."
But I would rather live and die a-spitting
Than cough my way to death with lungs a-splitting.
