Behind This Mask

Behind this Mask,
lies an empty heart.

A girl so happy,
has now been torn apart.

From day to day,
she cries and prays,
In hope to live another way.

She knows not to get her hopes up,
Because she knows that she doesn't have luck.

She goes to school,
Happy, is what she appears,
But comes home,
and breaks down into tears.

So she wears a mask,
to cover the facts,
that happiness,
is what her life lacks.
