Continue to burn. (Lira)

by Steven Beesley   Oct 3, 2005

Continue to burn:

Inside of this outer shell,
is a man waiting for his love to return.
Without you, a life of hell,
every day this heart will yearn.
The love inside me will continue to burn.

Great stuff Steve, my thirst for poetry grows ever stronger when reading your work. I truly like the way you've describe bring without someone in this burning, desirable love! Another form of poetry I need to try... I especially like the way you always tell the reader what the form of poetry you used is. A nice way of helping everyone. Thanks Steve!
