Still-born Still-loved

by Kirsty   Oct 3, 2005

That small silhouette
So cold in your grip
No chest shows it moving
Young life let it slip
No baby to look after
Just tears falling down
Baby silent crying
No heart making sound
You would have loved baby
Just like you were told
Given all you had
A watch baby grow old
To young to be pregnant
But you didn't know
Wouldn't kill a baby
You never let go
Family in ruins
Baby's no mistake
You've become a mother
But baby won't wake
Pain from your heart
As the whole splits in two
Feel your baby's skin
So icy and blue
Hold baby close
Give a mother's love
Know your baby's with you
Asleep from above
