Secret Admirer

by Jo   Oct 3, 2005

He takes a sip of his coffee;
His lips are that of an angel's.

He wipes away my tears;
His hands are gentle and warm like a mother's.

He looks out of his window;
His eyes stop me in my tracks.

He falls in love with me;
His heart is that of Cupid's.

He smiles as he watches his kids playing in the yard;
His smile lifts my spirits every day.

He looks within me;
His soul seeking mine.

He thinks for a moment;
His thoughts as precious as his existence.

He doesn't see me;
His confusion startles me.

He doesn't know I admire him;
His face wants to meet mine but never will.

He doesn't know me, but I know him;
He may never find out...

That I'm his secret admirer;
And he's my guardian angel.
