Present day Jonah

I was lost but now I am found
Was blind but now I see
wasn't easy confessing saved
When shackled mentally.

I confessed each day my sins
Believing God is good
Yet, each day I battle with myself
To do what Jesus would.

On that hill far away
Lies that old rugged cross
To remind me of his love
And that he paid the cost

No weapon formed against me
Shall prosper or shall stand
I fight this battle constantly
To hold to his protective hands

The devil gets no credit
For the opportunities I blew
I was making conscious decisions
lord pushing myself from you.

Now, Lord in you I do trust
You're my strength when I am weak
I had to loose my selfishness
To find this treasure I seek.

I asked, I searched and I knocked
For perfect peace of mind
My all and all now I give to you
For the glorious victory is mine!
