Halloween. (Cameo)

by Steven Beesley   Oct 4, 2005

This was written by me a long long time ago when I was much much younger and still a kid.

Halloween:

Goblins!
Of Jack O'lanterns,
It is Scottish, "All Hallows Eve."
Bats and cats,
demons, ghosts and witches all play,
so you like to trick or treat?
Dark Night.

Steven Beesley (c)

Cameo:
A cameo is purely a syllabic poetry form, 6 lines and the syllable count is 2-5-8-3-8-7-2.

I'm with the others on this, it's very refreshing to read something of such simple, yet pleasing form! As a child hood poem it's very good, obviously talented even then :)

    Nada,

Thanks, this one I dug up from my files, it was written so long ago when I was still a kid. It brought back some fond old memories of how kids like to dress up and go out to "Trick or Treat."
