THE GREATEST TREASURE

by Gary Jurechka   Oct 4, 2005

Gold is a treasure,
to those who seek wealth,
sickness is an abomination,
to those desirous of good health.

Diamonds and rubies are prized
by they who covet jewels,
books of knowledge are highly esteemed
by those contemptuous of fools.

Money and possessions,
all we strive to gain or keep,
but nothing is more precious
than this child in my arms fast asleep.

The price of love and life
surpasses any measure,
so take time to laugh with the children,
for they are the greatest treasure.
