The eyes of a child

by TeArS R FaLLiNg   Oct 4, 2005

When you look into the eyes of a child
you see all things that are sweet
not the pain and the suffering
and reality of life they have to meet

they do not worry about the future
about love, hate and pain
they just look forward to their next play
when they can be carefree again

they do not understand or know lies
or how alone people can be
they are completely at ease
for the real world they can not see

then you look into a child's eyes
you want them to stay so innocently pure
for once they start to feel pain and suffering
when they lose happiness there is no cure

when they look into the mirror
and the reflection has changed
they'll see that someone stole their identity
and their whole life has been rearranged

they will lose that sparkle in their eyes
and lose the light in their face
when they so suddenly realise
that they are trapped in this place

this day will come by soon
and their happiness will not last
they will cry for that sparkle
and all happiness will be in the past

I know how you feel...i used to feel this way...whenever i look at my sister...playing happily...doing the things i used to do...and it recalls all those sweet memories of childhood...but then now i'm trying to live my teen years happily...so when i'm adult...i still can recall it...

Nice one by the way...definitely a 5/5, no doubt at all...this is amazing...and hey thanks for yours comments...you are so sweet...
