Alone

Alone

I am a child I have nowhere to go,
I have hopes and dreams like anyone else you know.
But my life leads me no where except this long dusty road,
No one to lead me, I feel so alone.
At moments I feel my father near,
Sent to guide me through my years.
Ever since he let go of my hand,
I was left here to suffer on this land.
I have never known any other way,
Than to live my life the way they say
I try to think maybe life isn’t that bad,
Considering the life I have had.
