Withheld (part 2)

by Anthony   Oct 5, 2005

The twinkle of a
Tear in your eye
I cannot see it because
I have turned my back
I want to run to you
And tell you It's alright
But to guard I have
To keep my heart black

Love is weakness
A small distraction
The power to bring
Solders to their knee's
Because I believe
This thought,
I cannot fulfill
Your needs

I said I loved you
This is true
But the truth
Is that I lied
I guess you should
Have known from all
The tears that you have cried.

The world is cold
And so am I
Or at least I
have to be
It's not something
you want to face
But it's
The reality

The reason I
Can't fall in love
Is complicated
And hard
I don't know
How to explain
But my heart that
Beats is scared

This is a war
I have to fight
One I must
Fight Outnumbered
Outnumbered by
The reasons that
This love isn't
Worth its wonders

Even If I
Love Again
And love does
Come to me
I can never
Love you
You are this
Wars casualty

    *Slap* You bastard!

How dare you write better poems than me!

    I absolutely heart the poem!

    "I said I loved you
    This is true
    But the truth
    Is that I lied"

I just heart your logic. =)
