A Girl in the Corner

A girl sits in a corner
all by herself thinking of what she's done
She wishes she never did it
but what's done is done

I've heard that she has a pain
inside of her that no one can feel
No one understands what she goes through
I've heard it's a pain that cannot heal

People try to help her
but she just walks away
She thinks of all the things that happened
and now she has nothing to say

Time has gone by
but she will still remember
the day that she regrets
when she thought she was together

Sometimes she feels like letting go
so she won't be hurting inside
but she just can't
so she'll have a little thing to hide

When she's all by herself
in the cold night
she wants to die
but she's holding on tight

I know the girl very well
she can see what I can see
what I'm trying to tell you is
that girl in the corner is me
