I was sick, (so unfair)
My family went fishing in the gulf somewhere
Now dad's not a fisherman as everyone knows
But he tossed in a line to give it a go
Now Nessie's cousin lived in the river
The thought of a big one, gave dad a shiver
With cold a beer in hand he gave the hook a throw
But something was lurking in the depths below
This cousin of Nessie's wanted a treat
And bait was it's favourite thing to eat
Dad cried "I've got something!" as cousin attacked
It pulled on the line but Dad pulled back
The line then broke, the battle was fought
Mum was laughing, Dad was distraught
When they got back all dad would say, was "I caught a big one! But it got away."
