I dont feel like me

This is kind of different, wanted to get my point across about how depression can affect you

Feeling all alone
Curled up in my bed
This cold kitchen knife
Pressed firmly on my leg

All the pain I'm feeling
Disappears for a second
The blood begins to flow
feels like I'm in heaven

I haven't felt this good
I haven't felt this free
Its been months now
since i last felt like me

Would anybody even notice
If i took my own life
If i just disappeared
In the middle of the night

This is the only way
That i can cure my pain
I guess I'll never know
If i will ever be the same

So as i write this final poem
At only twenty two years
i will see when i get there
Shedding my final tears.
