I Wish

I wish there was no such thing as set backs
I wish every child had a meal
I wish we didn't need police
I wish this world I could heal

I wish words were spoken with wisdom
I wish tears were of joy
I wish everyone could smile at the worst
I wish life was always enjoyed

I wish life was eternal
I wish money grew on trees
I wish we all had encouragement
I wish we would never be in need

I wish fists would only be used to fight the power
I wish racism wasn't a word
I wish we didnt need to pray for better days
I wish I could be heard

I wish we didnt need hospitals
I wish I could heal pain
I wish I could end world hunger
I wish you would wish the same
