Her Fairytale

by Nicholas Kerst   Oct 5, 2005

I'm drowning in my ocean of depression,
The pieces of my heart are scattered across this land,
I wish this love was never given to me,
Thinking of her is like being in quicksand.

She left me without aid behind enemy lines,
I escaped to a breeding factory where loneliness multiplies,
I faintly remember her fairytale where everything goes right,
She threw me into the real world where even true love dies.

Authors notes: i know most of you probably understand it...but for the ones who dont...i used the metaphor of being in war and having my partner be a traitor and run out on me..."she" is my partner...and she ran out on me...

Whoa...I'm speechless. Each line was powerful and awesome. My favorite line was the first one:
"I'm drowning in my ocean of depression,"
    Great job.
