This Broken Heart needs saving

As the bright light shadows
And my heart begins to fade
I sit and ponder why
I chose to live my life this way
As the sun condescends
And is erased from the sky
As the stars appear
I lie in bed and cry
These stars are so out of reach,
My dreams so far away
These days I start to wonder
If I'll ever be okay
As the dawn approaches
I wipe away the tears
I hide the pain away
Try to forget about my fears
But if you take a moment
Take a look beneath my skin
If you could see into my black heart
You'd know my hope is wearing thin
I have nothing left to lose
I've lost every single thing I've loved
Every ounce of life is gone
I need some hope from up above
I need someone to help me
At night I constantly pray
That someone will come to my rescue
