Maybe

by A Heart Losing Hope   Oct 6, 2005

Here I sit,
and here I wait.
How long must I wait.
How long will it take.
How much longer,
until I see your beautiful face?
How much longer,
until I can hold you once again,
until I may kiss you,
once again.
How long must I wait.
How long will it take.
How much longer,
until I can ask you,
until I may never let you go.
Who knows,
maybe a year,
maybe more.
But no matter how long I must wait,
I will wait,
until the end of time,
if that is how long it takes.
And at the end of time,
maybe,
I can ask you.
Ask you for what I long for.
Maybe,
at the end of time,
you will say yes.
And after that,
I do.
But no matter how long I must wait,
I will wait.
And if we should die,
before I can ask you,
I will still wait.
And maybe,
someday,
we will be together.

Beautiful words indeed Sir, might do with a little formatting....combining lines etc... But I like your style with words.

It was a...little dark, but I suppose love "kills you" sometimes. Nice poem anyway!

    Good Writing!
