A crack in the door

by Lucinda   Oct 6, 2005

In the darkness of your eyes, you see the light.
shining through a crack in the door, you try to empty it.
but it never leaves, always a crack in the door.

blood drips down onto the floor, showing puddles of your past
hand prints on your walls, showing what you almost left
yet, blinded by the dark, always a crack in the door

raindrops on the window, clouds up in the sky
all too different but theres hope,
crawling down beneath your past, looking for an exit
digging as deep as you can dig is a crack in the door

your blinded by the darkness, shaded from the sun
looking for your exit, always a crack in the door.
