Under the Moonlight

by AJ Lopez   Dec 2, 2003

I sit here, under the moonlight; knowing that no matter how hard I try, You will never be out of my life.

As the light against the water’s current bends, I hear a voice only an angel can send- The musical tone that will forever echo in my head.

As the stars’ number increases in the sky, I give each star a reason why you are the love of my life. As I ran out of stars, I knew I was right. You are worth it, you are worth the fight.

As the waves crash into the sand, its ebb and flow puts me in a trance. I would give anything for one more chance, one more chance to hold you, and love you, to see your eyes glisten under the glow of a lamp.

Clouds came in accompanied by a coastal mist. For you to be here would be heavenly bliss.

Looking at the ocean under the moonlight brings memories. I know my love for you will last for all eternity.

Knowing you are the love of my life, I sit here under the moonlight.
