In the dark corner of my room lies a porcelain doll.
Her smile plastered on her delicate face, fake.
Her eyes ever so bright, showing her painted illusion.
Her dress envelops her, beautiful on the outside.

Rejected in her corner, the porcelain doll casts shadows.
Staring at me, her smile forever plastered.
Staring at me, her eyes following my every move.
Immobilized, she watches me night and day.

In her corner, she accumulates dust as years go by.
Still watching me, analysing me through my life.
Knowing my weaknesses, knowing my strength.
Knowing who I really am, my identity stripped.

She sees my cries, emotions written on paper.
She hears my silent screams, echoed in the night.
She sees what other don't, only she knows me.
Rejected in her dark corner, she silently watches.

Waking up one morning, she stands at my bedside.
Getting out of bed, I place her back in her corner.
I continue on with my day, pushing her out of my head.
Forgetting the mysterious incident, my life goes on.

One week later, I find her at my bedside.
Standing, her evil eyes pierce me, panic.
Getting out of bed, I place her back in her corner.
Trying to calm down, I continue on with my day.

The next morning, she lays in my bed, next to me.
Smiling at me with her plastered whites, evil.
Alarmed, I place her back in her dark corner.
Trying to find an explaination, coming up with nothing.

The following morning, my parents walk into my room.
Lying in my bed, the porcelain doll stares back at them.
Her evil smile plastered on her face, mischievous.
Next to the bed, my body lies on the floor, motionless.
