The Punishment

Lost and cold in this mist
The frozen lips of death I've kissed
These creatures torment do i hate
I'll use my bleeding heart as bait.

They thirst for broken, shattered soul
I can play this empty role
It's time to face my greatest fears
They fill my head with mocking jeers.

So much strength that i will need
I won't give in, beg or plead
my mind will be the last to break
no one else will they take.

In this place there is no light
my pain will soon be their delight
closer, i fall to the floor
As hell opens up it's jaws

I have the knowledge i did try
This made it easier to lie
blood flows from them, colours red
only they knew what i said

Tears flow slowly down my cheek
I'm so lost i cannot speak
How could i know you were a liar?
I'll forever burn in this fire

Saint or sinner? cross the line
It's not my fault, their blood was mine
to Satan my remains they send
as you have done to me, my friend.
