Second Time

by k i k i   Oct 7, 2005

Head buried underneath the ruins,
Thinking it was all a dream.
People sprawled upon table decks,
What was once a party, now dead.
Explosion shaking the community,
Affected, just the same as before.

Bloodied and burnt statues wander the streets,
Just wanting out of this place.
Tinging with infections,
They have little time for help.
Bright shine of light,
Eyesight taken away.

Pupils fogged and arms dangling dull,
Everything lost in a minute.
Thought once was enough,
But no, nothing will satisfy your greedy need.
Money low, no one will return
In fear that it would happen, again.

Rushing to the airport,
Anyway out, I’ll swim.
Blink of an eye,
I thought I was gone, no.
Innocent people, children and mothers,
Bandages cover their bleeding wounds.

Skin grafted to fix the cracks,
On going, just the same as three years ago.
What do you want?
