MY EYES HAVE SEEN YOU (Light My Fire)

by Gary Jurechka   Oct 7, 2005

Blue Sunday
waiting for the sun
cars hiss by my window
been down so long
I can't see your face in my mind
when the music's over
the ship of fools sails away
riders on the storm
take it as it comes
break on through
strange days
an American prayer
the poet's dreams
Indian summer
I looked at you
Hello I love you
you set my world on fire
you make me real
touch me, wild child
love me two times
at the end of the night.

Awake,
alive she cried
and I love her madly.

(Note:This piece contains 27 album, song, and
poem titles recorded by the Doors.)

October 25, 1994

(Note:This is my variation on 'found poetry'(which I don't really care for) but titles can't be copyrighted and this 'bastardized' version of found poetry is more creative and actually requires some thought and effort, so I did a few pieces using song/album titles of different bands(some worked, some didn't))

Dedicated to Dania Teri-2005
