A stare across the room,
Eyes meeting into one creation.
Two humans,
Boy and girl from different dimensions.
A connection, strong, somehow,
Not that same as any other before.
Sun shining on both sides,
Would the grass be greener on the other side?
A friendship growing like the care just the same,
And I thought this would be.
A hug so tight, heart stopped,
For that moment, I knew it was love.
Tick tock, time passing over,
But I was happy how we were.
Years of being just who we were,
The day came when we had to say goodbye.
Time I wanted to change,
I wanted you to come with me.
You were always there for me,
Not another one of the girls.
This friendship was special,
I just didn't have the chance to tell you.
Feelings I kept inside were killing me slowly,
I thought it was the end.
Eyes locked for one more time,
I didn't even shed a tear for you.
Then it hit the year after,

And I've had my ups and downs.
Thought I found another guy,
But now I think it was just to get over you.
