Damaged Soul

by Jerrah   Oct 7, 2005

She watches hours of sorrow pass
But she's still left alone
With the darkness of her mind
Decaying itself from despair

All of the unforgotten lies
Are deep long splinters
Hidden beneath her deep brown eyes
Slowly weakening all that she has become

Tonight she will lacerate her skin
And let the crimson blood flow freely
In hope of drowning out
This pain she can no longer bear

Slowly she becomes transparent
As her life begins to fade
Until all that remains is her corpse
And the negative she left behind

Her still and lifeless body
Is placed into an open grave
Her damaged soul now lost
To a separate, unknown reality
