Me as your lover me as your friend

by Matti   Oct 8, 2005

I do not mean to hurt you,
I don't mean to make you cry,
but this boy that you are liking,
Doesn't care how hard you try,

So i watch you stand there,
With no expression on your face,
A tear meets your eye,
And your heart begins to break,

Before it cracks,
Before it dents,
I'll be there,
To make sure we stay friends,

You see that's one side of me,
That you will always know,
You know I'm here as a friend,
but what if we were more.

I can't help dreaming,
Or thinking whats to come,
What if you and me,
could become but one,

As one as a couple,
And put our hearts together,

Friends and lovers
