That September Day

by Kelsi Schluter   Oct 9, 2005

Those twin towers used to stand so tall
They used to hold jobs for numerous amounts of people
But someone who was heartless and cold had to go and make them fall

So many loved ones lost
So many tears shed
Do they know have much pain they caused?
How many people bled

They were stupid and sinful
Homicidal fools is what they were
I wonder if they are grateful
For causing such a stir

I don't understand why you would kill those
Who were just simply working
I wonder if hate is what
Those deadly hijackers were lurking

Some people burned to death
As their bodies were set aflame
I sure hope those terrorists hearts
Are filled to the top with shame

Moms, Dads, Brothers, Sisters were lost in the blaze
Sorrow filled the hearts of the mourning family members
As they watched threw a daze

They committed an atrocity
A cruel and evil act
The planes descended in their great velocity
And I wonder if the terrorists even felt any of the impact

Did they even care that they were killing themselves
Let alone all of those innocent
Maybe they thought they were immortal or something
But they sure didn't show any lament

Those brave firemen went into the burning buildings
Knowing for most it was too late
They probably lost count of how many people they saw
Heading up toward the opening Heaven's Gate

Those men had so much courage
Risking their own lives as they saw their friends going down
I think what inspired them
Was seeing all the agony and pain in the people's faces as they slowly looked around

We at home watched the television in horror
Not believing our eyes
Wonder how those people in the office felt
When they saw that plane was not stopping
Terrified?

Now we are in Iraq fighting a war
More men are dying
And now it is mercy that we all implore

Why cant we live in a world of peace?
Lets go back to the Horrifying Fall of 2001
And make everything cease

That September day we will never forget
For so many died
And forever will live that picture in out hearts
Of those twin towers that once stood side by side

...i wonder how many of those "terrorists" family anf riends and relatives and fellow people were killed by america, how much pain and agony america has inflicted on those people and there country. you call them homicidal, i wonder if you believe in anything so strongly as to die for it.... think about it from there point of view
