I know what you think of me

by Forsaken Redeemer   Oct 9, 2005

I know you think you've lost me,
That I'd choose him over you,
But if I ever had to let one go,
Darling, I wouldn't choose you.

I know you don't think I care,
That I'm a shell without a soul,
But knowing you're there to comfort me,
Well, it sort of makes me whole.

I know you think I can't love you,
That my feelings are crowding my mind,
But when I'm feeling deathly,
It's not his arms I try to find.

I know you think that I'm helpless,
That I'll kill myself either way,
But I'm not trying to leave you,
For my sins, I have to pay.

I know you think that I hate this life,
I want to leave it all behind,
But if I had the choice I wouldn't leave,
But I can't stand these chains that bind.

I know you think I'm a lost cause,
And I'm sat here making excuses to you,
But I just want to say that I am lost,
At least that much is true...
