Razor

by roseanna   Oct 9, 2005

Sitting down on the cold floor at night
It's too late to take the pain away
no more chances, no more tries
Living deceptions, and living lies
No more made-up fantasies
No more feelings of ecstasy
It's time
Time to feel the pain
What are the odds...how much blood will remain?
Silver is the blade
Red is the blood
and broken is my heart
If you listen closely enough
you hear the skin being torn
Who do you think will cry for you?
if you died for you?
Who will mourn?
What do you care?
All that matters is how much blood you have left to spare
Back and forth
Back and forth
Red, red blood
Crying tears and drying tears
Leaking, falling, dripping
Blood, gone from your skin
It's not time to end it
Nor is it time to begin
Begin what?
A new life?
New razors? New cuts?
You never know when you've cut enough
One mark, one cut, one slash
Call it what you want, but that scar will be left there
Soon, there won't be any blood left to spare
You know that you won't find the happiness that you crave
Still, you'll cut till you die
Having a razor
beside you in your grave
