I Wish you Knew ( A really Terrifying Nightmare)

by ntv650   Dec 3, 2003

Had a dream the other night wish you could've shared it with me.
It was terrifying and cold, I wish you knew.
A house on fire, caught in a fury of flames
Inside this hell, inside this inferno I hear your scream.

I run inside, its falling apart,
I hear a crash from here, a smash from over there
You stop to cry and began to howl.

I dash along the hall trip up and fall.
Feel the searing heat scorch my face,
Loosing vision in one eye I call for you but you dont reply.
I begin desperately searching for you, scrambling amongst the blazing floor
Couldn't find you in any of the rooms I looked,
Glanced out the window and you were not their.
Nothing to do but follow your frantic cry.

You stop to howl and release a hollow scream, I am filled with that deep empty feeling and collapse.
I become insane as my clothes set fire, I don't feel the pain, as the anger glows in my heart,
Just want to save you from this nightmare of an unreal dream, dead or alive.

Finally I find you huddled on the floor,
Writhing in agony upon a bed of embers.
I thought I had lost you in the clouds of ash.
One eye seeing clearly, one eye seeing nought but black.
I reach out and touch your tortured hands.
I don't hesitate and pull you out.

This is no nightmare this is a prophecy
I run outside under the cool oceanic sky.
I hold you close before I realise and see,
A smouldering corpse, lying right there in front of me,
Now I grasp your scarred hands, horribly cold and dark.
I curse the fiery fate that has stolen your heart.
Begin to feel the pain, I hold you by my side,
Taking my time as I lay down, and die at your side.
