I Am Sorry *Dear jess...

I've started this poem dozens of times,
But could never get it right.
What I'm trying to tell you,
I'm trying with all my might.
You are so beautiful,
Both inside and outside.
A gorgeous girl says everyone,
Yet you always seem to hide.
I don't know how to explain to you,
That I understand what you're saying.
That you don't want to let anyone in,
But for your sake I'm still praying.
That you'll tell someone what you feel,
Because I'm scared it'll be too late.
That you'll be broken beyond repair,
Left with a feeling you can't shake.
I care so much about you,
I want to show you that I'm there.
That none of me was your fault,
My feelings you can spare.
If we are so alike,
Then why do you always run away?
Why are you so afraid,
That I might just catch you one day.
What is the barrier,
That exists so strongly between us?
Is it that it has been too long.
Or maybe my forbidden lust?
What ever it is you need to know,
I'll do anything to break it down.
So we can eventually talk again,
And no longer look and frown.
