Summer Months Are Almost Over

by Laura   Oct 10, 2005

The summer months are almost over
Weather seems to be getting a little colder
Leaves have started to fall to the ground
And in many beautiful colours they can be found

However the trees are not yet bare
Still fighting against the cooler air
Hoping the sun will shine bright for another day
For soon it will be time to but the summer clothes away

Memories of summer will soon fade
Although sun over snow I would surely trade
No more warm colourful sunsets in the evening
Days that are sunny but have cold weather look deceiving

Soon the days will start to get shorter
Darkness will consume the land a little earlier
Makes me want to take a vacation closer to the equator
Sitting on the beach having a few drinks is my only savior
