Xiomara

Watch as the folding surface
Bends the lonely light,
A vanishing emotion,
Out of mind and out of sight.

A drowning cloud in its reflection,
Where the dead mermaids lay,
Never altogether,
Always one, it goes astray.

The ripples of redemption,
Born from but a tear,
Amidst this sea of solitude,
Fate has brought her here.

The nymph of seven waters,
Collecting liquid pain,
She tidal-waves emotion,
For there's nothing left to gain.
