I'll learn

I remember when i was about 8
I was hungry and had not ate
mom sent me to the store
nothing for me just for her
I walked the 3 blocks with money in hand
Walked up to the till passed chips and candy
I was just hungry no food in a while
I got 2 candy bars ,took the long way home
Not wanting to get caught
I got home gave mom the change
Started walking away,then I stopped
she found out she knew what I did
moms man friend gave her his belt
she got me before I got to the door
one hit how about 6 more
crying and screaming I begged her to stop
After I was left there in my own tears
Before she walked out the door she said
"Next time you will think ,this will teach you "
then she was gone and shut my door .
