You were right there
Just out of reach
One step away
The one step I could not take

You were right there
Just out of reach
I had so much to say
But the words refused to come

You were right there
Just out of reach
I was scared of what might happen
Whether my heart would last

Now I see you smiling, waving
I check behind me to be sure
And there they are
The one thing between you and me
