Self-Inflicted

by Katie Bennett   Oct 11, 2005

Tears form inside my eyes
But I wont let it show
All the pain you have caused
Is a pain you'll never know
I tried to love you
And see past all the pain
But chance after chance
You proved my love was vain
This emptiness, this pain you caused
Taunts me when I sleep
You've created a kind of pain
That lingers way too deep
I hope one day you feel what I have
For many many years
And that this pain will eat at you
Till you break out in tears
You've encumbered me in filth
Showered me with lies
Carved hate for you in my heart
As tears fell from my eyes
I try to show you my pain
And how you put me through such hell
But try as I might
This hurt I can not spell
You taught me to hate you
With everything I own
I feel nothing for you but resentment
Because of every lie you told
I hope you cry yourself to sleep
And your life turns into hell
But wether or not you learn your lesson
Only God can tell
Try as you might to love me
But know it'll only be in vain
I dont feel bad about it
Cause you caused your own-
Self
Inflicted
Pain
