Ramblings From the Chemically Imbalanced

What am I feeling?

It's hard to say
each moment is fleeting
Bringing pain or laughter
depending on my mood
for that changes everything

My capabilities of finding
humor in the most
sad or terrifying situations
is quite astounding
However...

In turn if my mood permits
I can easily see only
sadness and despair
in my happiest memories
It's up to my mood

Am I crazy?
For only an insane person
would allow emotions to mold
the world around her
It must be madness

Driving me into fits
of rage or uncontrollable laughter
in the most random moments
Chemically imbalanced is the term
I tend to identify with

It brings me peace
to have a cause or excuse
for such insanity
Though never diagnosed
professionally

Self diagnosis has been
the key to my success
Sadly, I'm too unmotivated
to find a cure
or at least a treatment

Actually, I am a procrastinator
trapped in a perfectionist's body
It's a wonder I haven't
thrown myself off a cliff
But that requires planning and work

Maybe I'll do it tomorrow
or perhaps the next day
