Watching Unlit Candles Flicker

Watching unlit candles flicker,
making time go by quicker...

Hearing unheard voices,
and dancing with no one there.
Tell me how much longer,
am I forced to sit and stare?...

Writing lonely poems,
and gazing at the stars,
Thinking to myself,
"Lord, why is this so hard?"

Lord, will you send me an angel,
to take away all my fears.
Lord, will you send me an angel,
to wipe away all my tears..

Looking at a rose you gave me
and its shadow on the wall,
I've long given up the thought
that you're ever gonna call...

So as I sit and wait for you,
I watch unlit candles flicker
Dancing with the wind,
making time go by quicker...
