I watched you sleep

I watched you sleep,
thinking of how I feel about us drifting apart,
wondering why and how it happened .

It scares me so,
the closeness we shared,
seemed so hard to grasp today.

I tried to let go of my fears,
I tried to hide,
I tried to hold on tight.

But here I sit with tears of my heart,
wondering will it be ok.
