Today.

by Mrs Reynolds- far from fixed   Oct 12, 2005

Endless violence, we are silenced by those who are superior
We grow wearier of feeling inferior, our shouts shut in our interior.
On the exterior we try to do our best to impress
Mirrors are never given a rest but our true thoughts are suppressed
Those who are blessed are so obsessed and vain, looking good to entertain
Joining on the fashion train, media has the world gripped in there .look good. campaign.
All alone our true emotions are expressed when we are on our own
We moan secretly wishing to have someone by our side, or for our sadness to be shown
We groan as we help others, but get nothing back
Not giving is what this generation does lack
It is a fact we look after number one,
Taking drugs to stimulate our fun,
Simulate others actions, compete until we have won,
This world is done, it’s a downward spiral into which we all fall

I actually like the way this reads. I felt I was reading faster and faster, getting lost on a train.. It was very clever. Well done. xx
